Heroes Reborn & Revisited

Heroes launched on NBC in 2006 and became an instant hit with viewers around the world. It told the story of regular people who suddenly and unexplainably manifested special powers. The show’s large cast of characters found a connection to each other and a shared mission – to save the world. However after a successful first year it failed to build on that and viewing figures dropped for future seasons. Shortly after a fourth season aired, it was announced that the show had been cancelled. Five years later fans of the show got the good news that the show was

There were initial plans to conclude the story arcs and unfinished plotlines with two tv films. Nothing came of it until more recently. The

Arrested Development Season 5 Poster

Arrested Development Season 5 – False Hands, False Legs

US TV comedy Arrested Development, the story of the dysfunctional Bluth family, reached it’s conclusion on Netflix just weeks ago. Did it go out in a blaze of glory? I’d have to say no. It limped towards the finishing line as if it had a false leg. Not the false hand belonging to one of the main the characters, Buster Bluth. The show’s first three seasons on Fox received huge critical acclaim. However the shows’s fourth and fifth series on Netflix have received lukewarm receptions from fans and tv critics alike. Early Days Arrested Development first aired on the Fox

Is Doctor Who Too Confusing?

Is Doctor Who Too Confusing?

If there was one consistent criticism of Doctor Who under previous showrunner Russell T. Davies, it was that he focused too much on “soap opera” elements. It was constantly returning to the Powell Estate and the Tyler family. This year you could be forgiven for suggesting that latest showrunner Steven Moffat has turned the show into Soap, the US comedy sitcom of the late 1970s. Soap centred around two sisters, Mary Tate and Jessica Campbell. It poked fun at the sort of ludicrous, complicated and far-fetched plotlines that had started to become a staple part of daytime soap operas at
